When I’m alone and there’s no one to talk to,
The world’s so big, and I feel very small.
Then God comes near, and puts His arms around me,
And says, “My child, I’ve waited for your call.”
When God comes near, it is a special moment,
He calms my spirit, He takes away each fear.
O such an hour of sacred, blessed friendship,
That special time when God comes near.
When challenge comes in things I cannot handle,
The job’s too big, it’s more than I can do.
Then God comes near, and tells me, “We can do it,
Just wait and see, what I can do through you.”
When vic’try’s mine, successes make me stumble,
My sinful pride destroys my inner peace.
Then God comes near surrounding with His presence,
And all my struggles, all my trials cease.”
