Tyson Foods Supports Tornado Relief Efforts

Lee County, AL (March 13, 2019)— Corporate partnerships are vital to the work of The Salvation Army in any circumstance and very appreciated in times of disaster response. One such partner, Tyson Foods, generously donated 10,000 pounds of pre-cooked chicken to The Salvation Army’s tornado relief efforts in Lee County, Alabama. This donation has been put to good use feeding tornado survivors, volunteers, and first responders in the affected communities. The Salvation Army has also shared the product with community organizations such as the Food Bank of East Alabama.

“The Salvation Army appreciates corporate sponsors like Tyson Foods, who come alongside us to help hurting communities heal and begin the recovery process. Every donated dollar and in-kind donation matters,” said Terry Lightheart, Divisional Emergency Disaster Services Director for The Salvation Army Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi Division.
