Nona Jones to headline Belonging Conference

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from internationally acclaimed speaker Nona Jones who will give the keynote address at the Belonging Conference on Tuesday evening, June 3.

Nona is a rare combination of business executive, bestselling author, global speaker and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of Inside Out Leadership, where her team helps individuals and organizations unleash the power of resilient leadership.

She currently serves as Global Ambassador for YouVersion, publicly championing its family of Bible Apps that have been downloaded over 727 million times on devices. Nona has held multiple senior executive roles, including Chief Content & Partnerships Officer at YouVersion, Head of Global Faith Partnerships at Meta, and Chief External Affairs Officer for PACE Center for Girls. She is the bestselling author of The Gift of Rejection, Killing Comparison, and Success from the Inside Out.

Nona’s own story showcases the powerful nature of the gospel to transform lives. As a survivor of abuse and a difficult childhood, the odds were stacked against her. But God used a visit to church in sixth grade to change the trajectory of Nona’s life. She says she’s “a statistically improbable product of God’s grace.”

Nona is a sought-after speaker on the topics of emotional resilience, leadership and hope during uncertainty and has delivered standing-ovation keynote addresses for Black Enterprise magazine, the US Bank, the United Nations, the United States Attorney General, and more. She is known to inspire audiences through her personal insights, scientific research, biblical wisdom and humor.

She is a graduate of Leadership Florida and the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a joint initiative of President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton. She serves on The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board, and the boards of Gloo, Christianity Today magazine and Holy Post Media Company.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Communication and Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Florida where she has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Alumnus. She has completed executive studies at the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation. Her civic engagement includes The Links, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Jack & Jill.Since 2015, Nona and her husband, Pastor Tim, have led the Open Door Church in Gainesville, Fla. They are the proud parents of two boys, Timothy, Jr., and Isaac, and have a goldendoodle named Shiloh.

“When God surveyed everything He had created in Genesis, He called everything good except for one thing: man being alone. From the very beginning, God has demonstrated that the best thing for us is to be in community, which is why belonging is a core human need. We go further, faster when we go together,” said Nona. Come be inspired and challenged by Nona as we consider our purpose and what it means to belong and to invite others to belong.
