Pray Around the World — Mali region

This week, the international Salvation Army is praying for the Mali region. Here is some information to help you as you pray:

  • Zone — Africa
  • Regional leaders — Majors Dieudonne and Philippine Tsilutu who give leadership to 12 officers, 6 envoys and 3 cadets
  • The Mali region covers the countries of Mali and Burkina Faso
  • Languages in which the gospel is preached — Bambara and French
  • There are 7 corps and 5 outposts in this region, with 345 senior soldiers, 4 adherents, and 160 junior soldiers

Here are some specific requests from Mali:

  • Pray for the cadets who will go the DRC training college for 2019-2021
  • Pray for the opening of a local training college for officers in our region
  • Pray that opportunities will open to extend the work of the Army to all people in Mail by evangelism and discipleship
  • Pray for the success of our strategic plan and that every program will be integrated into our mission and point others to Jesus
  • Pray that we will be bold in going out into our neighborhoods and communities to share the gospel
  • Pray for terrorist attacks by Boko in the north of Mali and Burkina
  • Pray for godly leaders
  • Pray for peace and restoration of Mali
  • Pray that God will enable us to impact lives as we reach out to victims of injustice and the marginalized
  • Pray that we would have opportunities to demonstrate the love and grace of Jesus Christ in these days of uncertainty
  • Pray that The Salvation Army of Mali and Burkina will officially become one region
