A celebration of Live Music in 2020

Recognizing music is a vital and fundamental component in worship, the territorial music and creative arts ministries department embarked in 2012 on a journey to establish Live Music in Worship in Every Corps by 2020 (LM2020).

With the deadline for this ambitious goal on the horizon, the department is pleased to announce that the commissioning weekend next June will take the form of a music and creative arts festival dedicated to celebrate what God has done over the course of the LM2020 initiative.

The event will include performances by corps and divisional groups and feature the new Territorial Songsters led by Music and Creative Arts Ministries Secretary Harold Burgmayer.

In the months leading up to the event, the territorial music and creative arts ministries department will highlight new music programs that have sprouted and developing programs that have blossomed during the LM2020 initiative. Each month the department’s webpage will feature stories from a division and how lives and communities have been changed. Watch for periodic features in Central Connection.

Be sure to check out samusiccentral.org for details and keep pushing toward the goal!
