Three ways to helping people feel loved at your corps

by Lt. Amanda Keene

  1. Make dinner and deliver it: Taking time to make a small dinner can mean the world to your fellow corps members. It doesn’t have to be expensive or extravagant. Something simple but made with love can go a long way! (Please note: always take food preferences and allergies into consideration; otherwise this can be a waste of time, or even dangerous.)
  1. Send notes of encouragement: Everyone enjoys getting something other than bills in the mail. Take some time, pray over the people in your corps, and send a note after you’ve prayed for them. Include any Scripture or encouraging words that God brings to mind.
  1. Invite other corps members into your home: Be hospitable and make dinner or dessert. Enjoy time getting to know them better. Host a movie or craft night. The sky’s the limit! End your time together by praying together.
